He he started playing games pretending he was not listening. I called the next day to talk to the manager again. I left that day feeling bad because I really did not want to stay there any longer and I didn’t care for any free session. When I told the manager that I did not like their machines because they were too old and that I wanted to cancel my son membership he insisted on us to try again and he decided to lure me with a free session with a guy Steven. You will be receiving emails from other members that this has affected and aren't happy either. My 15 years of loyalty has got me decreased amenities and services rather than the appreciation a customer should receive. You have lost those potential memberships and whomever I can affect via social media. I was discussing with the owner of our basketball team today about having several of the boys sign up so they could work out together during the club season. I hope the decision to double dip on earnings is worth the loyalty you will lose. I and several others are sending emails to Corp regarding our frustration about this issue as well. I hope the money you receive from renting the courts is more than you will lose in membership fees. I posted on IG, Twitter, Facebook, and Nextdoor and complained to the Better Business Bureau. I am not happy with this decision, I made my opinion known to the Manager and the GM, and since getting off the phone with them, I started a social media frenzy. I call this double dipping as well as not fair to the members. However, this doesn't make it ok for 24 Hour Fitness to rent out a part of a facility they are already collecting money from. I have 3 sons in the military and my young nest had no problem cancelling his contract when he went overseas. Then was inclined to tell my 19 year old son to join the military and grow up, but didn't know that my son is a Marine. He told my son not to listen to me and that I was a Karen and disrespectful. I was upset by the way he was belittling my son and told him his contract STATES THAT WE ARE ABLE to get out of the agreement when moving over 50 miles away. Then he threatened my son saying it will go on his credit report and that it will be a negative mark if he doesn't pay. He asked for a utility bill in my sons name which he would never have because it's MY HOME. I also showed that my son and I both have the same address on our state ID's and we are moving together. I showed him my purchase contract on my home and he would not take that as proof. When we went in to cancel because we are moving over 80 miles away, the owner Colby said that my son had to pay the full amount due for the whole year. My son signed a year contract and thought he was signing a monthly contract. Rude and disrespectful to their customers.
